Also playing under the names “improved1”, “improved2” and “Clotida”, he has been one of the most consistent players in online poker over the past year.

Montenegro has posted 168 tournament cashes over the last year. His most recent big cashes include a win in the $300 buy-in $250,000 Guaranteed on Titan Poker for $55,000, another win in the $200 buy-in $750,000 Guaranteed on Full Tilt Poker for $135,195 and yet another first-place finish in the $109 buy-in NL Hold’em on Poker Stars for $36,080. The San Jose, Costa Rica native has expanded his poker world to live games over the last nine months. He’s had five cashes since March totalling $23,727.
