Quad Aces Busted By Royal Flush

The 2008 WSOP main event, the biggest poker tournament on the circuit, had one hand that you’ll be lucky to see again in your lifetime. You could play at Pinnacle Sports Poker for decades, and still only have a slim chance of witnessing something like the following exciting outcome. At a table that included Everybody Loves Raymond star Ray Romano, two players played a poker hand that you would only expect to see in the movies. Justin Philips and Motoyki Mabuchi ended up getting all their chips in the middle when both of them were sure they had the best hand.

Romanello Makes Insane Lay-Down at WSOP

Martin Takes EPT London

Michael Martin went on a ridiculous run of luck at the right time to win the European Poker Tour London main event this week, one of the biggest poker tournaments of the EPT calendar. The guaranteed £1 million first-place prize seemed to be out of his hands when he was down to only two blinds, but fate had something else in mind for the young American. Martin fought elimination numerous times, often hitting the river to suck out and stay alive. After tripling up, and then doubling up twice, he was in command entering three-handed play.

Fischman Dumps at WSOPE

With less than 30 people left in the 2008 WSOPE Main Event – one of the world’s biggest poker tournaments – Scott Fischman played a poker hand that would make most people wonder, “What was he thinking?” Fischman is a two-time WSOP bracelet winner, and has 67 poker tournament cashes for over $2 million in winnings over the last five years. He’s widely feared on the pro circuit and plays an aggressive game with which few can contend. But at the WSOPE this week Fischman decided to make a move at the wrong time, against the wrong player.
